We are writing to let you know that effective January 1, 2020 we updated our Privacy Policy to comply with new laws and to add new features that give you more control over the data you share with us.

Privacy Policy: We updated our Privacy Policy to make it easier to understand and to provide additional detail concerning our data use practices. New Features: Our Barnesandnoble.com and SparkNotes websites include new features that will give you more control over your personal information, how we use that information, and with which third parties we share your information.

California Consumer Privacy Act: Barnes & Noble customers in California now have the right to see a report summarizing all of their personal data that we have collected and to request the removal of their data from our computer systems.

These updates, which went into effect January 1, 2020, are designed to improve your customer experience with Barnes & Noble and emphasize our commitment to the security and privacy of your personal information.
