Carhartt supports Team Rubicon in their mission to help whenever and wherever needed. Team Rubicon is an organization of 150,000+ military veterans, first responders, and civilians who volunteer to help communities prepare, respond, and recover from disaster. But the work these heroes do goes well beyond rebuilding our communities. It also positively impacts the lives of military veterans transitioning back to civilian life by providing a renewed sense of purpose, community, and identity through volunteering.

On her journey to becoming a Team Rubicon Greyshirt, Nika struggled to find her place after leaving the Navy. When her neighboring town in Colorado was devastated by a forest ridge fire, she volunteered with Team Rubicon and discovered the healing power of helping others. Today, “Mama Bear” as she’s affectionately known, is a full-time Sawyer Instructor with Team Rubicon teaching other Greyshirts how to properly wield a chainsaw.

SIMPLY PUT, TEAM RUBICON EXISTS TO HELP PEOPLE ON THEIR WORST DAYS

Team Rubicon was founded by a small group of veterans searching for an opportunity to continue their service after transitioning from the military. Formed in response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the group of civilians, military veterans, and first responders have since responded to more than 785 disasters globally. From responding after Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Ida, to distributing over 1.6 million COVID-19 vaccines or assisting with humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, Team Rubicon is always at the ready to assist communities in need.

Carhartt supports Team Rubicon in their efforts to respond when and where disasters and humanitarian crises hit. In addition to helping fund rapid response operations through TR’s Ready Reserve, we’re proud to be the official t-shirt of the Team Rubicon volunteer, also fondly known as Greyshirts, with over 15,000 Carhartt Force tees donated since 2020.
