OF TRAVEL DESTINATIONS
YOU WONT WANT TO MISS

If you are looking to snorkel the underground cenotes, chill by the ocean eating the best tacos at La Eufemia or drinks at La Zebra bar, float a Lazy River thru the Mayan Jungle, bike leisurely thru town hitting up killer drink spots, hit up the nightlife at Gitano or I Scream Bar for that over the top jungle experience, or windsurfing the Caribbean…….then Tulum is your spot.

There's a little bit of everything for the everyone! Kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding and so much more on the lake. There's also plenty of places to swim and cliff jump!

During the warmer months check out the Alpine Slide and waterpark, or ski the slopes and go tubing when they get snow. And they get a lot!

There's also plenty of hiking for the adventurous folks (I recommend the Castle Rock Hike for a kickass view of the valley!) and awesome places to eat in the village (Big Bear Lake Brewing Company is hands down the best in town!).

If you make it to Kauai, you are going to need to make you’re way up to hike the Nā Pali Coast. You will see the same views that you’d see from a theater seat while watching Jurassic Park but it’s much better in person. You may see a Humpback whale plop out of the ocean to get a tan. If you’re up for jumping a few rocks and rivers, you can #TLC and chase after some waterfalls after a 9 mile hike. Don’t get caught out there during a rain storm or you very likely won’t get back. Do go during the daylight, or it can be sketchy. The sunset from here is like a painting from Bob Ross. When you get off the trail, go into Hanalei and grab some Poke from the food trucks or an açaí bowl. Bring water. Maybe even some toilet paper.

Wurstfest in New Braunfels, TX was a blast to go to! There was a ton of different German food/beers to try and great entertainment throughout the length of the festival.

- Nico D

We call it snake pit, because there are snakes in the water some times. Great place to dive in though.

- Joe W

I'm gonna give it to you simple and plane (hah wordplay).  This is the best lake-hopping seaplane bar crawl I've ever been on.  It's probably the best one in the world.  Grab 3 friends, or enemies, and go bar-to-bar with a dope pilot and a drink in your hand (legally you're allowed to fly with drinks...in case you didn't know). Tell 'em Erich sent you...and that he misses them...why didn't they ever call?

Remember the giant water arena in Jurassic World where the aircraft carrier-sized dinosaur eats the shark hanging from a hook? Well, if you go to Kualoa Ranch’s Secret Island you get to cross that water feature, which is actually an 800-year-old fish pond. The island itself is straight out of a tropical dream, rope swings, hammocks, all manner of watercraft, and views that make you feel like you’re in Jurassic Park. Couple pro tips if you’re on Oahu heading there: pro tip 1) stay at the Queen Kapiolani hotel, the coffee/beer shop in the lobby is unreal and the rooftop pool might be Hawaii’s best, and 2) make sure to pay a visit to Wang Chung’s karaoke bar. Tell ‘em Chubbies sent you.

Seriously the most zen place we’ve ever visited! Great place to take our dogs and there are starfish everywhere! (Only for looking at of course). You’ll work up an appetite for sure, so head to the Lighthouse Grill for some good grub after... it won’t break the bank! This is also at the gateway to Redwood National Park, so there’s that.

If you're ever in South Florida visit the Wynwood Walls in Miami, a whole neighborhood covered in murals. If you're there make sure you get brunch at the Wynwood diner.

Home of the World's largest Sequoias. Need I say more?

-Jay C

Work week slumppies got ya down, my man? Hang that noise and carry your be-Chubbied thighs down to the luxuriant Catalina Island, Dominican Republic. Sip some El Presidente from a freshly picked pineapple, take a leisurely jaunt past palm tress and pastel cabanas to the cliff jump of your Caribbean dreams, enjoy the stacked all-you-can-imagine Island buffet, or head inland to the La Romana cigar headquarters. Don’t let your dreams be dreams.

Lake Tahoe where the mountain tops are white and the lake is blue. At more than 2,000 ft deep in some spots, Lake Tahoe provides picturesque scenery and cool mountain lake water which is perfect for a hot California/NV day. Boating, hiking, and beaches are popular destinations for locals and tourists alike in this summer playground. If you’re at the lake make sure you stop at places like Chamber's, Garwood's or Riva Grill to get one of the lakes signature slushy cocktails, but be careful, they’ll get you a little slushy.

Get your fancy artsy boy or girl on and check out this expansive sculpture garden a short train ride or drive from NYC. It's not a far trip, and the culture you will glean from it is immeasurable.

-Logan R

Goldbug Hotsprings are an amazing escape tucked away in Salmon, Idaho. A two mile hike with hot springs overflowing into waterfalls, it's the perfect place to camp and relax.

-Rachel B

Best sites: Uluwatu Temple, and home to some of the best surf breaks and hidden beaches in the world.
Food: Anywhere that serves Nasi or Mie Goreng. Eat as much of it as possible.
Best Beach: Padang Padang Beach
Best Bar: Rock Bar

Sonoma is known as wine country but it can also transform into a wild time at the Sonoma Raceway. We stayed in 50 Acres Campground and made a lot of new friends, including these fine gentlemen pictured with Rainer and Preston.

Sayulita, Mexico. Pretty easy to get to. Small beach town on the pacific coast of mexico. Colorful buildings and brick streets. Great food, drinks, and shopping. Check out Barracuda Sayulita for the best seafood in town.

-Hunter L

if you're able to walk after eating the best fricken ramen and sushi of your life, head to the Meiji Shrine. Less colorful than the oft-Instagrammed Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, The Meiji Shrine is a heavily wooded urban oasis great for walking and enjoying the massive torii at the entrance.

An amazing place to visit if you're ever in South Africa. If you're feeling adventurous you can go cage diving with Great White Sharks. If you're in the mood for food and drink I recommend Trans Karoo, a restaurant in an old converted railway station, or clubbing at De Dekke.

-Luke F

If you’re looking for a place to get lost in the sauce in Asheville, North Carolina, the best spot to take the most “fire emoji” inspirational pic, and a delicious taco to go along with it, look no further than White Duck Taco (on the outskirts of the city). Get yourself a gyro, bulgogi, or spicy buffalo chicken taco on the same plate while listening to Jimi Hendrix and enjoying  Asheville’s finest draft beer. More Tacos? Yes Please.

- Gabe M

Take a quick drive just outside of Nashville, TN and you’ll find yourself hiking some amazing trails. You may also find yourself jumping off a cliff on a hot summer day like I did. Pro tip: bring water shoes and a PB&J. Maybe even a beer or 6.

-Travis H

It feels like a regular camping trip until you step out of your tent and realize you are surrounded on all sides by granite giants. It continues to be the most dramatic place to camp, hike, and climb in the Western US and it's that much sweeter when you are showing off those killer thighs, even in the dead of winter (let's be honest, it's California, it's not THAT cold).

-Kevin P

If Germany is a bit far away and California isn't, I recommend Tourist Club, a hidden German co-op social club in the forest near Marin. We made friends, ate, drank, danced and would do it all again.

-Dave W

Roadtripping is the best way to get around Iceland. With hot springs, glaciers, and and waterfalls there's so much natural beauty to explore, you don't even need much for specific recommendations. Just get in a car and go.

-Kelley M

Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Blue sky at day, get out on the bay! This is San Diego Bay and it's my favorite place to sail in San Diego. From Harbor Island on your way to the open ocean you can sail by Point Loma, Cabrillo National Monument, and those dolphins that the Navy has trained to do reconnaissance for them, all while getting a breathtaking view of the San Diego skyline. If you stay in the bay you can sail past the USS Midway Museum, The Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and under the famous Coronado Bridge. Truly epic. To cap it off, anchor out in Glorietta Bay next to Coronado Island to have a couple drinks and hop in the water!

-Andrew C

Grab a friend and hit the Dominican Republic. Bonfires by night, ATV Tours, ziplines and rope swings by day and just a quick flight from the US. The Treehouse Village in the DR is a perfect long weekend getaway, especially if you like the idea of LIVING IN A TREEHOUSE.

-Logan R

Firing on a retreating British yacht during Yacht Week in the Adriatic Sea off of Croatia... 1776, 1812, and 2016, put another W in the USA win column.
