Lost, in the best way
Discover the UK's forests with us
divider
We're blessed with an abundance of forests here in the UK, and there are few simpler pleasures in life than a couple of hours whiled away on well-trodden paths through the trees. There are also few landscapes as versatile as forests, whether it's a sensory nature trail with the kids, a mindful walk to find peace in nature or camping out and testing your survival skills. Interested in learning to live outdoors? Our beginner's guide to bushcraft is a great place to start - we've got some expert tips to get you started from our resident bushcraft expert, Royal Oak store manager Chris Hopwood. And it wouldn't be right not to share some inspiration from our partners at The Woodland Trust about why forests are so important for biodiversity, or keep scrolling to find a roundup of our favourite forests to visit in the UK.

How you can help to protect our forests
divider
Our forests can't exist without our protection, and knowing the impact that our daily activities have on our forests is the first step. We can all help by promoting biosecurity - simple habits to get into to reduce the spread of pests and diseases from one forest to another:
UK Forests
When visiting forests by car, try to drive and park on hard surfaces, so the pests that could be in your tyres don't come into contact with the forest floor
UK Forests
Clean your dirty boots, bikes and buggies after visiting to prevent the spread of pests between forests
UK Forests
If you travel abroad, don't bring back any plants or trees, as they can be carrying harmful non-native pests or diseases
