Normally, there is talk of April showers bringing flowers in May… with the wild weather of this year, all we know is that it will eventually warm up, just not sure exactly how soon. Anyway, as we move towards summer, more of your events and merchandise should be outdoors-focused. So, whether it is golf, barbecue, drinkware or warm weather gear, these all can help you promote your cause or business on products that we use this time of year.
Spring Festival planning is rolling along at a good pace – whether its faith-based retreats, non-profit golf outings, community picnics or school tours, many groups are moving things outside. Faith-based retreats Faith-based organizations use this time to connect with their congregations – gathering outside of their place of worship and celebrating with their community. We see lots of drinkware geared towards these groups, with some totes, t-shirts and flying disks mixed in as well. Golf outings for Fundraising / high-value prospects Many organizations and businesses know the power of a golf outing in generating action. Some use these outings to raise funds for and awareness of their foundation’s mission. As well, some companies use outings to woo high value prospects to their brand with valuable give-aways such as polos and golf balls. The variety of products offered here is wide-ranging, with some opting for an inexpensive ball-marker or divot tool giveaways, all the way up to some offering full golf ball sets and polos. Community Picnics In most parts of the country, communities of all kinds are bringing their celebrations outdoors. Municipalities are having festivals, companies are having outdoor “off-sites” and non-profits are having fun runs to raise money. Apparel and drinkware are the favorites for these events – we see lots of t-shirts, plastic cups and tumbler orders coming in now. School tours and graduations Lots of action around students exploring their next level of education – many middle and high schools have open houses and many high school students’ families are going around to their target colleges and universities. Many promotional opportunities exist to jump on this emotional bandwagon – kids and families alike are excited, and a bit anxious, for their next step in life. Before they get there, they are looking forward to the many graduation celebrations. Apparel of all types apply to the explorers, and drink- and dinner-ware for the graduates.
