Achates River
A time traveler watched the Countdown clock before peering out of the brass conservatory filled with tropical green plants. Looking out of the ornate glass windows she saw sprawling green lawns and a sparkling river. A brown Kangaroo munched on the sweet Acadia green lawn. Moved by the dream, she made an asymmetrical necklace to remember this sweet place in time. The Swarovski crystal erinite and topaz beads capture the lawn and river in the sunshine through thick glass windows. The light amber agate nuggets tell of the mysterious brown kangaroo. As far as jewelry goes, I prefer to work with Argentium silver and silver metal clay. Using those two, creating almost anything is possible. Read Judy's Story ›
Ask the Experts | When finishing a piece, I don't have a problem with crimping or threading the wire back through the finished beads but I have to pull on it a little too tight for comfort to make sure that the piece doesn't have too much slack in it...and be ruined. Some pieces cannot abide a crimp cover and the crimp will be hidden well but still, is there a secret to achieving the aforementioned task without using a winch? Read the Answer ›
