From 'Nike Air' heel tabs to golf outsoles to varying shades of blue, the Air Jordan 4 'Military Blue' has seen many changes since its debut. Check out all the different versions from 1989 to 2024.
The original from 1989 features a slightly higher collar than all of the retro versions.
Classic 'Nike Air' appeared on the back heel in 1989, and hasn’t been featured until this 2024 release. A Jumpman logo is featured on the 2006, 2012 and 2021 editions.
The OG edition featured a combination of leather and nubuck on the upper, and all of the retros feature similar builds. The only difference has been the shade of Military Blue—which appears darker on the original pair and the new 2024 release.
The original features both Nike and Swoosh branding on the outsole, which returns on the 2024 iteration. A Jumpman logo can be found on all the other versions, including the 2021 Golf, which comes with a golf-specific outsole.
The original box featured a Jumpman logo with Flight script underneath. Over the years, the retros have arrived in different boxes, including the Black/Silver Jumpman box, a Black/Gold box and the Flight script box.
