About the Designers.

Emil Bertell is one of the few Finns that make a living out of type design. Educated as a graphic designer, his career kicked off as an illustrator. The type bug caught Emil eventually and he moved on to become a full-time type designer around 2011. He’s mostly known for his idiosyncratic script fonts, many of which have become blockbusters. However, Emil also masters a more restrained design as well, particularly evident in many display serif fonts he’s put out.

Erik Bertell is Emil’s brother and has likewise been drawing type since the early 00s. He’s a graphic designer by trade with 15 years of experience under his belt and this background has provided him with plenty of insight in regards to type design and requirements for type.

Teo Tuominen is a graphic designer and a type design guru to whom no feature is too complex to achieve or a type family too extensive to handle. He also shares his knowledge and expertise by teaching type design and typography.
