This newsletter is our latest effort to provide you with information you need to know about all aspects, from business to health, of this pandemic. It includes deep dives and analysis from our top-notch staff journalists and our pool of expert contributors.

Today started with some not-so-great news: the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. jumped 40% overnight, to more than 9,400 cases. But that’s not necessarily a reason to panic-since testing has started increasing in multiple states around the country, we’re bound to discover more cases, even cases of people who are asymptomatic. We also got some good news: President Trump announced that an old drug is going to be tested to see if it is effective against COVID-19, and Americans are finally taking this pandemic more seriously.
