Today we’re doing coronavirus by the numbers: some statistics that show us just how far, and how fast, COVID-19 has been spreading. There are now more than half a million cases reported worldwide, and more than 1,000 deaths have occurred in the U.S. The economic toll is also high: jobless claims in America surged to more than 3 million this week. At this point, almost everyone is affected, or knows someone who has been affected, in some way by this pandemic. It’s a good reminder that we’re all in this together.
