As cases continue to rise, political leaders are taking ever more drastic steps to try and limit the spread of COVID-19. Over the weekend, President Trump extended social distancing guidelines to the end of April, despite the fact that he previously stated the economy would reopen by Easter. In New York, residents now face $500 fines for congregating in public. But that’s pretty lax compared to other nations—take Hungary, where the government now has virtually unlimited authority to enforce social distancing and other related rules.
