The Business Roundtable is calling for significant police reform. In a statement released Wednesday, the influential group of nearly 200 CEOs urged Congress to pass police reform before lawmakers’ August recess and amid calls to defund law enforcement.

“We have a moral imperative to ensure everyone in our country is treated fairly in our justice system,” AT&T chief executive Randall Stephenson said in the statement.

The ongoing Black Lives Matter protests have sparked changes across Corporate America in recent weeks, including a turnabout on brand names and imagery that are rooted in racism and the ouster of prominent executives.
