President Trump has had to lead the nation through the worst disease pandemic in decades -- but not everyone thinks that he’s been doing a good job. Today multiple people spoke out against Trump’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic -- even members of his own administration. CDC Director Robert Redfield pushed back against the president on a talk show this morning, saying that he wouldn’t revise the organizations’ school reopening guidelines, despite Trump calling them “impractical.” The Democratic Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, criticized the Trump administration’s handling of the nation’s personal protective equipment shortage, saying that states had to compete with each other for supplies. And now the Texas Republican Party is in a legal fight with the city of Houston over whether or not thousands can gather in person for Texas’ Republican Convention next week. |
