No one is immune to the challenges of working from home, especially the tech execs powering the remote revolution. “It’s pretty easy for your day to turn into 19 half-hour meetings and for you not to physically move in 10 hours,” says Dropbox CEO Drew Houston. “All while all these different tools are blinking.” Unlike most telecommuters, though, Houston has a platform to create a better work experience. Since launching the cloud collaboration and storage service in 2007, Houston and cofounder Arash Ferdowsi have been on a mission to improve productivity. When the coronavirus started to spread and spurred a swift shift to remote work, they launched a series of new features—including tools that store and sync passwords across devices, and automatically backup files to Dropbox—to help empower employees to be as effective from home as they are in the office.
