After three years of collaboration, we're thrilled to present the Grand Seiko Automatic GMT SBGM239 Limited Edition for HODINKEE.

We've built on Grand Seiko's best-in-class Automatic GMT with a vibrant new colorway, refined design accents, and the addition of a stainless steel bracelet.

It was important that our collaboration with Grand Seiko continued to represent the exceptional commitment to craft and quality for which the brand is known. That's why we started with the same case and movement of the Automatic GMT SBGM221, an established favorite here at HODINKEE.

The self-winding, in-house 9S66 caliber features an easy-to-use GMT complication and a three-day power reserve. The caseback is individually numbered out of 500 pieces, and if you look a little closer, you'll see a special HODINKEE engraving, which marks the first time a modern Grand Seiko watch released in collaboration with a U.S.-based partner has been signed in this way.

Inspired by the daily transition from day to night, the twilight blue of the dial is rich, refined, and switches shades with shadows and in different light. It can go from a matte indigo to a bright cobalt in the blink of an eye.

A muted grey hue is used for all aspects of the dial that pertain to the GMT functionality, and we've subtly refined the text of the central 24-hour ring, updating the second time-zone markers with sharp spurs.

Only 500 individually-numbered watches of the Grand Seiko Automatic GMT SBGM239 Limited Edition for HODINKEE will be released, exclusively for the U.S. market. You can purchase yours at 10:00 AM ET in the HODINKEE Shop.
