Hi EmailTuna EmailTuna,
Good at explaining math or science concepts or filmmaking? Want a chance to win a $250,000 scholarship.

We’re proud to partner again with the Breakthrough Junior Challenge video contest. Students ages 13 through 18 are invited to create a short— under three minutes— video explaining a challenging concept in physics, mathematics, or the life sciences in an engaging, illuminating, and creative way.

If you win, you'll receive a $250,000 college scholarship, your teacher will receive a $50,000 prize, and your school will get a new $100,000 science lab.

For more details, check out the official launch video for this year’s Breakthrough Junior Challenge:
This year, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the first human in space, there is a special topic of Space Exploration where the top scoring video on Space Exploration will win an in-person viewing of a rocket launch into space!

The videos made by the past Breakthrough Junior Challenge winners have collectively been viewed over 7 million times teaching a global audience about science and math in their own voices. In fact, the finalist videos from last few years were so good you can find them on our Khan Academy website here.

Last year’s the winner was surprised by Sal and Astronaut Scott Kelly with the life-changing news – check it out here – Enter the Challenge and this could be you this year!

Good luck—we can’t wait to see your video!

Onward,
Sal and the Khan Academy team

P.S. The deadline for submission is June 25, 2021, so register today at www.breakthroughjuniorchallenge.org.
