We know that privacy and security are important to you, and we take our commitment to privacy and security seriously. The Khan Academy team has been working hard to add features and services to further our mission of providing a free, world class education for anyone, anywhere. Today, we're emailing you to let you know about updates to our Privacy Policy.

We’ve updated our Privacy Policy to provide detail and clarity about the use of Khan Academy in the classroom, to include information about how we use donor and job applicant information , and to include other updates and clarifications. The updated policy is available on the Khan Academy website at Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to read our updated Privacy Policy in full. Here is a summary of some of the main changes:

•	In order to make the policy easier to read and understand, we’ve provided a summary of each section, followed by a “Learn More” section that you can click to see more detailed information
•	We’ve added more detail to clarify the use of Khan Academy in the classroom (see Schools and student use)
•	We’ve added a new section (Your account settings) explaining how you can manage your account choices (in addition to the section on Transparency and your choices)
•	We’ve created a Cookie Notice that provides additional detail about cookies
•	We’ve added new sections to address the use of information we collect from donors and job candidates (Donor information and Applicant information)
•	We’ve consolidated information about use of Khan Academy by persons outside the United States (Regional information)
