Hi EmailTuna EmailTuna,
Thank you for using Khan Academy! Maybe we helped you keep learning during the greatest educational disruption of our lifetime.
Unfortunately, the true educational impact of the pandemic is just beginning.
We’ve lost two decades of progress in the last two years of upheaval.1 Math scores dropped eight points for eighth graders, the largest math decline ever recorded.2 It’s hard to grasp, but the impact of this is enormous. Some estimates predict that this knowledge erosion may mean that these children will lose 900 billion in future earnings over the coming decades.3
While declines happened across race and income level, historically under-resourced students saw steeper declines, which only makes the playing field even more unfair.
Using Khan Academy actually reverses this trend.4 We just need to get more kids using Khan Academy and using it at levels that will enable them to get back on track.
Khan Academy is 100% free for anyone who wants to learn. But we need to keep it that way, and we need to keep reaching the kids who need us the most. We can only do that with your support. If you give today, your impact is doubled. All gifts are matched until December 31st.
Together, we can make sure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
With gratitude, Lizzie Community Giving Manager
P.S. If you already contributed to this campaign, thank you! It's possible you donated using a different email or your donation is being processed, and that's why you're receiving this email. We appreciate your support!

Even the kids who used Khan Academy for 15 to 29 minutes a week matched pre-pandemic learning norms and didn’t experience the pandemic unfinished learning loss we are seeing across the country.
Khan Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit making sure everyone has access to the education they need to reach their potential. Give today!
