AUGUSTINE SHAWLETTE IN MEADOW
Today we're bringing you a wonderful yarn that's ideal for all of your finer gauge summer knits -- join us in welcoming The Fiber Co.'s Meadow to Loop, Loop West + our online shop!

To demonstrate Meadow's beautiful drape and luster, Laura whipped up this sweet Augustine Shawlette and it's a perfect summer accessory for knitting and wearing! 
Meadow is a fabulously unique blend of 40% merino, 25% baby llama, 20% silk and 15% linen -- the perfect mix of luxury with a touch of rustic! Although it's technically laceweight, it's slightly heavier than traditional laceweight yarns, meaning it will be a versatile choice for a variety of shawls, scarves, and even fine gauge sweaters.

Meadow has the stitch definition of linen with the sheen of silk, which is all perfectly complemented by the softness of baby llama and fine merino. We're currently stocking Meadow in a palette of 10 gently heathered colors we think you'll love for spring and summer!
The Augustine Shawlette does a beautiful job of playing up Meadow's luscious drape and fluidity but still delivers crisply defined stockinette stitches!

This pretty accessory is a enjoyable knit with increases worked on one side. But its most fun part is the (deliberately!) dropped stitches -- don't worry, the pattern walks you through the process and unravelling those stitches. Laura says once you get this shawl started, it's easy to memorize!

The gauzy, lightweight feel of this shawl lends to its versatility. It can be worn opened up and draped over the shoulders or scrunched down and worn as a scarf. It's also an excellent Netflix knit or travel project, even if you're only travelling out to the front porch to soak up the sun!
