DESIGNERS THAT WORKED ACROSS MANY BRANDS
Marcel Wanders.

MARCEL WANDERS

Dutch designer Marcel Wanders began his artistic career in 1988 after graduating cum laude from the School of the Arts Arnhem. He opened his own studio in Amsterdam in 1995 and shortly after added the iconic Knotted Chair, the piece that brought him international recognition, to his unique body of works.

Patricia Urquiola.

PATRICIA URQUIOLA

Having spent most of her career working in collaboration with other designers, it only makes sense that Patricia Urquiola's design philosophy revolves around creating environments that encourage positive feelings and gathering together. Having trained under renowned creators like Achille Castiglioni and Vico Magistretti, Urquiola's style embodies unexpected elements, innovation, and what the New York Times has called an "intuitive eclecticism."

Achille Castiglioni.

ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI

Achille Castiglioni had a unique way of looking at things. As a product designer, he was often inspired by materials that others would consider mundane and found unique functions for them. The Castiglioni design team of Achille and his brothers, Livio and Pier Giacomo, worked from the viewpoint that design must restructure an object's function, form and production process. They applied this philosophy to every piece that they produced.

Michele De Lucchi.

MICHELE DE LUCCHI

Michele De Lucchi is something of a design rebel. A prominent figure in radical/anti-design movements like Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis in the 1970s and 1980s, De Lucchi worked alongside another rebel, Ettore Sottsass. Sottsass became a kind of mentor, encouraging De Lucchi to experiment with color, materials and unexplored themes. During this period, De Lucchi created his most popular product to date, the Tolomeo task lamp for Artemide.
