An Unlikely Match-Up: Mal Reynolds vs. Han Solo This Unlikely Match-Up takes things back to ancient times with Julius Caesar against Attila the Hun, suggested by fan Steve Finlay. Powerful beyond measure and famous for it, which historical ruler will win this round? Julius Caesar was born 100 BC of minor noble origins but with major ambition. From priest to soldier, and soldier to lawyer, Caesar slowly climbed the heights of Roman society. He was elected military tribune, made friends with both the powerful and wealthy elite of Rome, and eventually established the First Triumvirate of Rome, ruling as consul before declaring himself dictator. With his expert military mind and political savvy, Julius Caesar was a man to be reckoned with. But will the might of Caesar be enough to take down Attila the Hun? Ruling as leader of the Huns from 434 to 453, Attila established his reign all the way from central Asia to what is now France and down to the Danube Valley. Even Rome was afraid of the Attila and his Huns, and they paid him a hefty amount of gold in exchange for their own safety. His force of mounted archers were widely considered invincible. Cunning and brutal, Attila was a leader who used his reputation of terror to control both his own people and his enemies. But which of these eminent leaders from history will win the Unlikely Match-Up? You decide! Vote here. Do you have an idea for an Unlikely Match-Up you would like to see?
