This cashmere overcoat from The Row’s inaugural men’s collection is something that will last a lifetime. Great over a suit, or with a cashmere sweater and jeans.

This is one of those delectable sweaters that you can just sink into and disappear. It’s the cashmere equivalent of Harry Potter’s invisible cloak.

I love the classic look of a slim, gold watch, but the large size of this Vacheron Constantin is modern and the added complications of the retrograde date display and the moon phase make it really interesting (at least, I think so).

Overcoats are my weakness, and this double-breasted example by Massimo Alba in a midnight blue velvet is perfect for the party season. It’s great with a tux, but also to hide a hangover the next day.

Drake’s has always produced the best handmade ties in the UK. In recent years, it has applied this passion to other wardrobe staples. The brand’s knits are no exception and this cosy wool cardigan comes in the perfect shade of grey – come to think of it, it would look good under that cashmere coat…

Even though the tech devices we need to carry around to cope with daily life keep on getting smaller, the number of them somehow seems to increase. I always look for a backpack, such as this one by Brunello Cucinelli, that will work on a commute, but will also look smart enough to take into a meeting.

Cutler And Gross’ collaboration with our Kingsman label allows the brand to produce slightly tweaked versions of its iconic styles – such as these D-frame glasses in a matt tortoiseshell with graded blue lenses.

It makes me sad that a classic such as the Cartier Tank is not yet part of my watch collection. I hope it doesn’t stay that way for long. This is a timeless and stylish timepiece that will finish off any outfit with aplomb.

These Oliver Spencer trousers manage to cleverly combine three key menswear trends into one garment – namely corduroy, a baggy fit and a drawstring waist – while being extremely wearable at the same time.
