At MR PORTER, we’ve always been keen to talk about style in a down-to-earth way. Less of the breathless “must-have” and “now-trending” type language, and more of the “what you need” and “how to wear it” sort of thing. As such, when looking for inspiration, rather than turning to the lovely but rather impractical suggestions of runway fashion, we’ve often looked to the sartorial habits of real men past and present. And of course, when it came to launching our own menswear brand, Mr P., our approach was no different.
