At the same time, it is home to millions of people who cannot afford to meet their basic needs. Before the pandemic, life was difficult. Since COVID-19, the challenges are unprecedented. A simple face mask — an essential barrier against the spread of the virus — is an exorbitant luxury for those who already struggle to put food on the table.
Then you showed up.
For every set of face masks that you purchased during our week-long sale, one was donated to the Annsagar Foundation, an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of poor children living in and around Delhi. As part of the COVID Safety Drive, donation masks were purchased from women artisans, then gifted to as many children as possible.
