Ganpat Mehta understands one thing very clearly: ancient art will disappear if it is not actively preserved. The gorgeous home furnishings that come out of his workshop are testament to his commitment to keep that past alive. He works with women artisans from all across Rajasthan whose embroidery and recycled patchwork rivals the best in the region. They’ve been successful enough to exhibit their work throughout India and abroad. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do!

Sumiya

While Sumiya now lives in Delhi, her hometown of Kashmir is alive and well in the art work she creates. As a fifth-generation artisan in her family, Sumiya works hard to preserve the traditions that have been passed down to her — in particular from her father, an award-winning artist. Yet Sumiya brings to her creations a uniquely modern touch. Playful imagery in pop-art style, animals that demand our attention, and bright geometric shapes. Old meets new in the work of this exceptional artisan.

Seema

There is nothing this artisan can’t do. Her childhood fascination with painting (on her mother’s saris and the curtains at home) launched her on the path to a five-year degree course in textile design. She now lavishes that incredible imagination on her apparel and home furnishings collection. From her luxurious throws and embroidered linens to her handbags and ornaments, Seema continues to awe us all.
