Joy in Trying Times | | | | Last year, we shared the story of Nancy Quispe, a Peruvian jewelry artisan who delivered her baby two months early, in the middle of a Covid crisis, with no ride to the hospital because a local curfew left the streets desolate. This year, we wanted to check back with her to see how the past year shaped up. Here’s her update:
"2021 was challenging because of the political situation in my country, the cost of our basic needs, a shortage of materials, and the increased price of silver, which made it difficult to replenish.
But here comes the good thing… our Novica customers never stopped supporting us. In fact, my sales this year exceeded those of 2020! It is so wonderful to have the support of such great human beings — from the team at Novica, to great customers who appreciate our art. It reminds us that we will always find a solution. The important thing is to never stop dreaming.
Also, my little Noah started to walk, and Naomi is already 10 years old! When I see my children, I am confident that they will have a great future because of the good vibes that Novica and our customers give us every time they purchase our products. I’m already working on new designs for 2022!
On behalf of my family, thank you very much. God bless, and may this new year bring a smile of love and gratitude." | | | | |
