Ho, ho, uh-oh. TIPS ON KEEPING YOUR PET OUT OF TROUBLE DURING THE HOLIDAYS. THE LOWDOWN ON DOGGY DANGERS.
Keep a close eye 'round the tree. Pine sap can upset a dog’s stomach if they drink from the reservoir, while ornaments can be a danger if they break or are ingested. Use deterrents if needed to discourage your dog from hanging out by the tree.
Batteries not included. With all the new gifts and mayhem, the chance of a pet ingesting a battery during the the holiday season raises. They can be deadly, so store them completely out of reach at all times.
Forget about fireworks. The loud noise and flashing lights of a fireworks display can disorient and frighten pets, causing many to run away. Keep yours safely indoors and use calming aids to ensure they have a more enjoyable night. Shop calming aids >

MAKE YOUR HOLIDAYS THE CAT'S MEOW. Be faux real. Holly, mistletoe and lilies can be tempting AND toxic to cats. It's best to keep them out of the home and replace with fake holiday plants, or better yet, cat grass or catnip! No candles for kitty. Cold winter nights and candles may make a cozy scene, but cats don't fit into this picture at all. Keep your candles safely out of reach to make sure neither your cat nor your home gets singed—or worse. More cat holiday safety tips.
