Finding solitude in the outdoors, Matus embraced climbing at a young age where she felt truly accepted and free scrambling around the landscape. She was instilled with the ethos of stewardship and responsibility of being part of the climbing community – “to love a place is to take care of it and keep it as pristine and free for others who come after you.” RVCA will be donating part of the proceeds from this collection, many of its themes which involve the active healing in nature, to the Access Fund – the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment.
