Because Everyone in the World Loves Cheese

If there's a universally loved thing in the world, it's probably cheese. It's perfect in every course, from start to finish, and it seems like every country has some kind of deliciously cheesy way to incorporate everybody's favorite dairy product.

Georgia, for example, has the khachapuri, a bread boat filled to the brim with cheese and egg (and sometimes other things too). Head to Mexico and you'll find plenty of cheesy options—our favorite just might be enchiladas. But the Greeks really have their cheese recipes down to a science: just fry it up and serve it with honey.

If you want to go a little lighter on the cheese, though, try a slice or two in one of our favorite sandwiches, like the Cuban medianoche or the Turkish kumru, a veggie-laden version of a grilled cheese.
