Everything You Need for the Best Labor Day Party

Nothing—I repeat, nothing—makes me sadder than the end of summer. I know, I know, it doesn’t necessarily mean the end of nice weather (especially in New York, where the weather has very little bearing on the season these days) or beach days, but there’s something about it that just feels a little depressing to a summer gal.

So it may seem a little weird that one of my favorite holidays is Labor Day, a holiday that unofficially marks the start of fall. Maybe it’s the fact that everyone goes all out, knowing that the end is just around the corner. In my family, at least, we pull all the stops, whipping up everything we want to eat before summer fully comes to a close.
