The firewall is important to network security systems, which help to isolate the network from various intrusions.

There are dozens of open-source firewalls that can be downloaded online. Thanks to Novaspirit Tech’s video, he tested the below five open-source Firewalls and run them on Odyssey X86J4105. Let’s take a look at what is the difference and compare which one you will choose!

  • pfSense
  • OPNsense

Arduino FreeRTOS Tutorial - How to use FreeRTOS to Multi-tasking in Arduino

FreeRTOS is a class of RTOS that is designed to be small enough to run on a microcontroller. With the help of FreeRTOS, you can do multitasking on microcontroller-based hardware!

For Arduino compatibility, we have ported FreeRTOS into the Arduino framework so that you are able to use FreeRTOS with your favorite Arduino boards with ease!

To improve the compile time of big projects in Arduino, you can use one of the newer features introduced in Arduino IDE (>=1.8.6), static (pre-compiled) libraries for your Arduino Sketches.
Let's take an Arduino library as example and convert it to pre-compiled library. Here I will use Seeed_Arduino_LIS3DHTR as Arduino library and Wio Terminal as board option.

Plug Grove - Thermal Imaging Camera to Wio Terminal

Grove - Thermal Imaging Camera - MLX90641 carries a 16x12 array of thermal sensors (MLX90641) and it can detect the temperature of objects from far away with a center area accuracy of ±1℃ and average accuracy of ±1.5℃.

Have fun with your Wio Terminal and obtain thermal imaging via I2C

What can you do with 8GB RAM on a Raspberry Pi 4?

After the release of this new 8GB RAM version, everyone got excited to hear about it, but many people might be thinking about what they can really do with an 8GB RAM on a Raspberry Pi. We hope this blog will help you understand the potentials of the Raspberry Pi 4 8GB.

Most Useful Raspberry Pi Linux Commands

When you get your hands on a Raspberry Pi for the very first time, you need to install an operating system with a Micro-SD card connected to it. Raspberry Pi not only supports their official Raspberry Pi OS on the Raspberry Pi but also various other flavors of Linux distributions. So once you install an operating system on a Raspberry Pi, there are different ways of interacting with it.

With the development of new technologies, thermal imaging has come a long way. Thermal Imaging devices were used to be very heavy and not easy to operate before and now it’s possible to have a thermal imaging device as small as the size of your palm!

Let's take a look at how does thermal Imaging cameras work and how to apply it into applications!

Hello, seeeders! How’s your week going? Welcome back to our Top 5 featured projects section. We will keep sharing five projects we selected over the week and here are the Top 5 featured Seeeduino/Arduino Grove Projects of this week. Hope you will find something interesting.

When you hear the word Doppler Radar, you might be familiar with the word “radar” but not “doppler”. So, in this blog, we will help you to understand Doppler Radar, how it works, and what kind of applications are there for this technology.

If you want to use a microcontroller like your Arduino and its peripheral devices to control your automobile, check out this Arduino CAN-BUS tutorial, as we use the MCP2515, CAN-BUS controller module to do that.

Thus, standard communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, are not in the equation as they are not as reliable as other communication protocols like the CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.

CAN, compared to other available protocols, is more commonly used and popular.
