This past week, skiers and snowboarders had a lot of be thankful for. A Thanksgiving weekend storm blanketed much of the West, leaving the Sierras, the Tetons, and most of the Colorado Rockies with around 10-18” of fresh powder.  

Storm totals at top Western resorts:

• Heavenly – 24" in the past 7 days 
• Jackson Hole – 18'' in the past 7 days 
• Breckenridge – 18” in the past 7 days
• Beaver Creek – 15” in the past 7 days
• Vail – 15" in the past 7 days

More is coming, too. OpenSnow forecasters are calling for upwards of 30-60” across California, Colorado, New England and the Sierras.
