It's (nearly) official: Samsung is killing the 3.5mm headphone jack with the Galaxy Note 10. As the last major holdout for the audio tech, it marks the end of an era for the universal wired standard on mobile devices, which is pretty unfortunate. 

On the flip side, Samsung is one more manufacturer that's replacing the headphone jack with USB-C, which (when it works) is a good standard! Using one cable for everything has always been the computing dream, and the Note 10 might just get us one step closer to realizing it.

Although, you'll still probably want to get your dongles ready, just in case.
