Smart thermostats are practically a dime a dozen these days, but I don't live in a house because I'm a twenty-something to whom homeownership is but a distant, possibly impossible dream. But with summer rapidly approaching, where are all the Alexa and HomeKit compatible air conditioners?

Having already switched to a smart light system, which gives me the ability to turn off my lights without getting out of bed, I can basically never go back. Someone needs to make this happen for my window air conditioner unit, too.
