AirPlay 2 is finally rolling out today, and that means that the final death knell for my collection of now-outdated original AirPlay speakers is starting to ring.

It's kind of a shame that older AirPlay speakers aren't updating to AirPlay 2, though, considering that those speakers already support multi-room audio — albeit only through a Mac. Still, I suppose this is the price we pay for progress. Hopefully that Sonos support rolls out soon.
