Twitter told me that today is #TakeYourDogtoWorkDay.  Unfortunately, living in New York makes taking care of a pup extremely expensive or nearly impossible. (We also aren’t allowed to have animals in The Verge’s office for reasons I will never understand.)

To supplement my dog-less life, I resort to snapping pictures and videos of strange dogs I see on the street. I send them to my friends so they think I lead the most glamorous life imaginable. The only problem is: I haven’t figured out how to gracefully recover when the owners catch me snapping their pooches.
