Command Line newsletter

I went to Ikea over the weekend to pick up some new bedroom furniture. Half the stuff I wanted was out of stock, so I waited in line, had someone fill out a home delivery form, then waited in another line to check out. But after all that waiting, I realized one of the items was listed in the wrong size — so I'd have to go wait in both lines again.

Instead, I just left the store and placed the whole order online, where I could do everything myself and make sure it was done correctly, without any waiting.

I always feel a little bad about this — not so much with a giant company like Ikea, but more so if I see a product at a smaller store, then order it on Amazon later. But often, online shopping is just so much better: lower prices are a big part of it, but there's also not having to wait or deal with people trying to sell you things. I know some people like that, but I find online shopping to be way calmer and simpler.
