The iOS App Store turns 10 years old today, which has me thinking about the early days of the App Store. I remember being super excited to download and play Super Monkey Ball back in the summer of 2008. (It cost a whopping $9.99.)

In fact, looking through my originally installed apps, there's a ton of gems here: Tap Tap Revenge, SportsTap, Trism... Of course, most of them don't actually work anymore, but it's still nice to look back.

It's sort of weird how this digital nostalgia works. Unlike old movies or books that I loved back in 2008, I can't really go back to experience these old apps and games again. They're locked away by obsolete code and abandoned dev teams. Still, there's always the memories.
