Epic Games announced today that it plans to bypass the Google Play Store when it launches Fortnite on Android, and instead offer it directly through its own website. By cutting out the middleman, Epic is saving on the 30 percent cut Google takes from every transaction. Can you believe the drama of it all?!

There's no release date yet, but rumors are swirling around the game's release being tied to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 — which has had the details of its own launch botched in every way and are a different kind of spectacle in itself.
