Dear Timbuk2 Community,

Twelve years ago, we launched an initiative called Break Up With Your Bag, and we encouraged our loyal Timbuk2 customers to donate their used bag to someone in need, instead of tossing it away. Through these donations and our repairs program, we are proud to say that since 2014, we have sent ZERO Timbuk2 bags to landfill.

We work with a network of incredible partners all across the country to repurpose gently used bags. From Bike to School in New York to At The Crossroads in SF, we are getting bags to those who need them. Since not all bags can be reused, we are grateful to announce our new partnership with The Renewal Workshop in Portland, Oregon to renew Timbuk2 bags and bring them back to life.

For all of you who have broken up with your bags over the years, thank you. Some of you have waited in lines, some of you have sent us handwritten letters, and all of you have helped us to grow this initiative. As our 30th anniversary approaches, I am proud to say that this program is stronger than ever.

This holiday season, join the thousands of who have already done so and Break Up With Your Bag. Zero to landfill, and helping those in need. Learn more here

With Gratitude,
