| It is absolutely necessary to speak up in the face of racial injustice. |
Recently, the events in the U.S. have left us all heartbroken
and outraged.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of
George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery among many others
taken from the black community, whose lives and legacies mattered.
Beyond words, we believe that we must also take action and pledge
to end injustice in all its forms. |
We’ve established the SHEIN Together Fund and pledge to
donate at least $200,000 to various Black-led organizations,
starting with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
Each week we will donate to a different organization and highlight
their efforts. |
We will also be launching a collection of SHEIN Together tees in support
of Black Lives Matter and commit to donating 100% of the proceeds
to organizations like the NAACP and others. |
Most importantly, by reading and listening, we learn.
That’s why we’re taking steps towards educating ourselves on these
issues, spreading awareness, and understanding the fight to end bias
and discrimation. |
We stand in support of our Black communities by highlighting their
efforts and causes. Additionally, we will use our platform to help
amplify Black voices on issues of criminal justice reform and racial
inequality. |
