Right from the start, the bullet bras at Miu Miu’s fall 2025 show got people talking. For a generation that grew up with the smooth rounded cups of padded foam bras—a colleague calls them chicken cutlet bras because, well, they look like chicken cutlets—the torpedo shape of 1950s bullet bras is something altogether different: perky, but also protected, feminine yet fierce. In the August issue of Vogue, author Megan Nolan writes about a bullet bra she sourced at an old-fashioned lingerie shop in small-town Ireland. “It was cheering to remind myself I’m still in there. I thought about how a piece of clothing like this could indeed help women who want to celebrate the breasts they love and are proud of, but also us women who had half forgotten they had breasts at all.” Meanwhile, a new season is underway, don’t miss our coverage of the spring 2026 shows in Copenhagen. |
