Spector Bass Buying Guide | The professional choice for over 40 years » | In 1976, Stuart Spector first started building handmade basses out of his Brooklyn workshop. Not one to mimic conventional bass guitar designs, Stuart recruited fellow Brooklyn woodworker Ned Steinberger to help design instruments made especially for modern, high-performance bassists. Their work resulted in the Spector NS-1, taking the bass world by storm upon its release in 1977.
For the past 40 years, Spector has been improving upon that now-legendary bass design, gaining the support of bassists from Jason Newsted to Michael Anthony. From their premium Euro Series to the budget-friendly Performer Series, there's a Spector bass for every player. Check out our buying guide and find yours! | | |
