In Michael’s words: “Like most summers, this one started with the usual ambitions: fewer screens, more beach days, and getting the legs right for shorts season. For me, the fairest days of the year aren’t for reinvention. That’s what fall and winter are for. Instead, I just look for a few key pieces (this summer, it’s a lot of jewelry) to freshen up the usual suspects: breezy fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, and unfussy stuff to wilt in. But all told, nothing too precious. Just stuff that makes getting dressed in 90-degree heat a little more bearable, fun.”
