Every few months we send an email and place an alert on our website asking you to be on the lookout for email scams. Unfortunately, these scams are an ongoing problem. Oftentimes these emails look like they were sent from Harbor Freight using realistic logos or other company features designed to trick you into giving up your personal information in exchange for something free. These emails are NOT from Harbor Freight, and the criminals who send them did NOT get your email address from us.

How can I identify a scam email?
  • Be suspicious of any email that asks for any of your personal information, any credit card number, or any password or account information. Harbor Freight will never ask for this information.
  • Look for spelling or grammar errors - email scams are often poorly written
  • Review the actual email address from the sender - scam emails often come from unusual addresses.
  • Oftentimes scammers will promise a free tool not sold at Harbor Freight. Verify brands by visiting our Brand page. If you don’t see the brand it’s not from us.
Does Harbor Freight ever send email surveys?

While Harbor Freight does occasionally send out surveys to help us serve you better, we will NEVER ask you for your credit card number or address in exchange for completing a survey.

How Can I Report Scam Emails?

Please be careful with your financial and personal data, and if you receive a scam email that looks like it came from Harbor Freight, please forward it to: reportascam@harborfreight.com.
