The movie set-turned-Wild West theme park, sailing your trench coat, the mental toughness of ultramarathoners, and more…
It’s time Portuguese Flannel got the recognition it deserves. Started up by two brothers with old-world textile manufacturing in their blood going back four generations, these shirts are cut and sewn in the traditional method — using techniques more common when the brothers’ grandfather was alive than now. Fabric, tailoring, and construction are all top-notch, like they’re from a little-known shirtmaker you special-order from a couple times a year. Come to think of it, that is kinda what we’re doing here, isn’t it? SHOP NOW

The two brothers behind Pillbox Bat Co. are harkening back to The Sandlot era with their old-school ashwood bats made-to-order in Winona, Minnesota. Each one is handcarved in their woodshop and handpainted too — making ‘em naturals above a mantle or home bar. And if you’re a little shorter on space or cash, they also come in Shorts emblazoned with vintage MLB insignia. As far as Father’s Day gifts go, we’re thinkin’ these are a total grand slam (wink). Long before guys like Paul Newman and Steve McQueen and, yes, Springsteen wore the hell out of their trucker jackets, the original denim versions were invented right here in America in the late 1800s. Which is why it’s a little weird how tough it is to find a quality USA-made one these days at a decent price. Flint and Tinder rushed in to fill that gap and aced it. Their latest, The Stonewashed Trucker, is upgraded with a hint of stretch and soft denim — so you don’t need 1,000 miles on the road until it feels as comfortable as your favorite pair of summer jeans.
