Your Impact Last Year

2021 fast facts:

•	15M people joined Khan Academy (the current total is 137 million registered users).
•	8.3M people a month spent time learning on Khan Academy.
•	8B—that’s billion with a B—minutes were spent learning.
•	350 schools and district partners serving nearly 700,000 students.
•	6 new language sites were added (Vietnamese, Kyrgyz, Greek, Latvian, Lithuanian and Kazakh)!

Those are just the big numbers. Here is a small sample of the additional things we did together last year, all funded by your support:

•	We launched new and expanded science courses, including high school biology, high school physics, AP Physics 1, AP Environmental Science, and AP Chemistry.
•	At Khan Academy Kids, our app for children two to eight, we launched new tools for teachers AND full coverage of second-grade standards for literacy and math to help make sure that our littlest learners can fill in gaps or master new skills—especially important for kids whose first years of school were in a pandemic.
•	We completed a HUGE engineering project to ensure our site is fast and reliable so we can host and deliver content in the most effective way possible.

Ukrainian translation support

Throughout the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the small international content team at Khan Academy has been focused on how we can best support those impacted.

We currently are working with an active language advocate in Ukraine who is passionate about helping to localize Khan Academy content with the goal of hopefully launching a dedicated Ukrainian website one day. For now, the team at Khan Academy has curated not just the existing Ukrainian video content on the Khan Academy Ukrainian YouTube channel, but also other educational content available in Ukrainian to help share with those who desperately have a need to fill a gap in education right now. UNICEF has also included our Ukrainian content in their global Learning Passport platform, and we are in conversation with UNESCO to see how we can continue to provide additional Ukrainian education content.

The community of Khan Academy language advocates throughout Eastern Europe have also come together to curate educational resources as they look to provide education to Ukrainian children who have been displaced to neighboring countries. And our Khan Academy Kids team has published a Ukrainian parent guide to help refugee families who want their children to learn English.
