Is there a bird out there more versatile than the chicken? We doubt it (but are willing to consider alternatives). Whether you bake it, fry it, roast it, or grill it on sticks, there are so many great ways to enjoy this particular bird, and no matter where you go in the world, you’ll find someone cooking it up in a different—and, we’re sure, delicious—way.

Puerto Rico’s sancocho does all this and more with noodles and plenty of hearty vegetables. Or go the ramen route. Really, chicken just wants you to be happy.
