How to Shop Like a Pro

Join Amazon Prime. Like, right now. You’ll pay $13 a month or $120 a year. If you’re on the fence, remember that there are plenty of benefits to Prime membership other than this day of deals—including free expedited shipping and access to their video streaming services. If you download their app, you’ll be able to shop on the go, but it’s not a requirement; if you prefer shopping on your laptop or desktop, you’ll still be able to find what you’re looking for.

When the day gets here, it’s good to be organized. Keep an eye on the Prime hub page and Amazon’s home page to see what deals are up. If you see a blue Prime Day Deal badge next to an item, it’s discounted.

As far as getting organized with all the stuff you want to watch, there are two methods. The first is to keep all the items you’re interested in open in various tabs. You can pop between them as Prime Day goes on, checking to see when a deal pops up. But if you have an aversion to opening 20 tabs in your browser, there’s another way. Click the “Watch this deal” button next to the item you want, and once a deal on this watchlist goes live, you’ll receive a notification. Easy peasy.
