You wouldn't get it…

It's not the object that you love, it's the story behind it. Our poll this week is all about something that only you love, because only you know the reason why. So what makes you happy that others don't seem to understand? Cast your vote and share your story. And since June 15th is photography day, post a photo in your comment and add some spice to your story!

P.S Mine is this old IDE HDD that outlasted my first laptop! And now serves as a proud and beloved paperweight.

RESULTS FROM LAST TIME

Last time, we asked you about what you think is the best piece of in-film technology. And it seems like it's a close win for the Transporter, Tricorder, and Communicator followed by gadgets from the Back to the Future universe. Overall it seems like fast travel gadgets were the clear favorite. So, what's the moral of the story? Our first response says it best!

Best Responses

Transporters. Don't care if it technically kills me every time, at least I don't have to ride for hours in a car to get from point A to point B.
-ckcoder

The dinosaur embryo storage unit.
-Mike (Eaton)

The Star Trek universe holodeck. With it, everything else on the list (and much more) can be fantasized without any dire real-life consequences. And it's 99% perfectly safe...except for those rare plot points where it horribly malfunctions…
